Martin Fayulu, the opposition runner up who's regarded to be the legitimate and overwhelming winner by the influential Catholic Church and others, will legally challenge the result. He has 2 days to file a challenge to the constitutional court, and the court then has 7 days to consider before results are deemed final. That result will determine the DRC's future.

Fayulu has promised to create a strong business environment and to revise mining and oil contracts as president. I'm unsure exactly what changes this would mean for cobalt royalties, tenures, and licencing.

All of the above makes Namibia's sovereign and political risk (both BB rated) feel like paradise.
