You honestly think that the previous owners are going to simply roll over and pay back $4.55m plus interest plus transaction costs to VPR?
Best case for VPR is that they negotiate for a partial repayment and settle. Avoid a lengthy court case and the risk of losing.
The former owners of Wescone have $4.55m to fund a legal defense, how much do VPR have sitting around?
Worst case VPR go to court and lose. In that case it’s likely they end up paying all costs and that could easily run into the million dollar ball park. Where is the cash contingency for that outcome?
