Happy New Years to all, I have been holding this for a little while now, mainly because I believe future harvest levels of wild caught prawns in Aust is going to decrease dramatically in the near future, farming is def the way. Eg. It may not be widely reported but there has been massive die back of mangroves in the gulf of carpentaria the past couple of years, this is prob one of the best wild prawn grounds in Aust, and no mangroves = no prawns. The recent rainfall in the area might help in the short term but im looking a bit further ahead. FYI Gunn Point road has been sealed at least half way and is smicko, although there has been some decent rain in the past few days so will prob be tools down for a little while now, as our old mate would say “not much going to happen on that till the dry.” one concern  is that the NT gov is in a bit of a dilemma at the moment cash wise, so not sure how much support we can expect from them in the future, maybe the WA gov can start throwing some coin our way. IMO If sfg can grow the prawns there is going to be no shortage of buyers, and they will be at a premium price. Gltah and again Happy New Years
