I think STAT is a niche player. Their products are cheap, simple, easy to use and setup. They are a threat against PLAYERTEK, not directly to Catapult's elite wearables.
Catapult in another hand offers a lot more complex and complete solution. We also invested heavily in software, as we knew hardware/electronics are cheap and easy to copy.Therefore, it took only 9 months for a new STATsports to be born. Catapult already bought it. It called PLAYERTEK. (Ronan the founder was STAT's CTO).
I don't think buying another STAT is a good move tho, they will busy competing against other clones of themselves and eventually die out. We already have two lower grade brands.
