There has always been the assumption that Fred and major SH will sell the business. In my opinion this is not likely to be the best assumption.
The tech provides a single, unique, all-purpose chip-level device that goes into dozens of different industries. Once the mass production issues are all sorted AP will have a production line business that basically dominates its market space well into the foreseeable future. The chip will be profitably sold to everyone who wants sound delivery. It will dominate the audio market and even open new markets that do not even exist yet.
Why would you cash in your chips (no pun intended!) before you had prudently explored how profitable that business will prove to be?
I suspect Fred may enjoy sitting in the hot seat at the centre of a bidding war by the biggest players on the planet, but at the end of the day, he, along with all of us other shareholders, could simply sit and watch the orders pour in and the chips pour out to meet them, and count the cash that fills the company's coffers.
Without a finished viable product AP is just another speculative tech stock with a potential value.
With a functional chip production line it is set to become a Golden Goose.
It looks like there are precious few shares left on offer as I speak (18,623 in fact).
That is less than half todays trade volume.
I may have just bought my last batch...
