Coal gasification followed by Hazer Process?

This video shows the process for coal gasification.  Crushed coal is mixed with water to create a slurry.  The slurry is then heated and mercury and sulphur is removed resulting in syngas.

Syngas is able to be substituted for natural gas for energy and heating consumption.

In an ideal world, it would be better if the gas did not then have to be burned to create energy, (as CO2 is emitted).

If it is possible that syngas is able to be Hazer Processed, the CO2 would be captured as synthetic graphite and emission free hydrogen the byproduct.

Coal has just overtaken iron as Australia's biggest export.
