Hi Doc.
Mate its great to have a geochemist onboard.
You seem to be a dedicated holder, but sceptical as to how we can use sulphuric acid to generate enough power to fuel any operations. I for one am very sceptical about this myself. Do you think this theory wont be economical?.
If it is, then why have we not heard of this before?
Or does this theory have synergies with a Fluorspar deposit.?
Im wondering how much power can 1000 litres of sulphuric acid produce, ?
I remember when I worked in the Argyle Diamond mine. And that between the diamond ore and the waste was a contact layer that was highly acid forming that we had to store seperately and contain it so that it would never come in contact with the natural water courses. This material we were told, contained about 1 litre of sulphuric acid per ton of material.
So as a geo chemist what are your thoughts on this recent announcement with regards to the energy production to power a minesite and all that supports it. ?
It seems very left field to me and may be hard for an average Joe like me to comprehend.
Your thoughts would be muchos gracias.
