Defeats the purpose if you sit and dwell on why people sell. However as you are so intent on NEEDING to know why others might have sold their stock, here are a few possible reasons that you may not have thought of ,.... (I dont think Hotcopper's servers will be able to take the full list, so Ive noted down 5 and you can extrapolate the rest )

1. Seller might need money to pay some bills
2. Seller might see a better opportunity in another stock
3. Seller may have met a Guru who told him to sell all his stock and live in an Ashram
4. Seller may have found out he is going to die before Xmas, and doesnt believe that GEV will be any higher before he dies
5. Seller's dog might need a lung transplant, and he needs to raise the money to travel to Siberia for the operation
