A little bit about Burt . .

I was bored so I collated the information on the Burt Claim.

MEI's claim at Burt from earlier in the year. . . 

"The Burt Project consists of nearly ten square kilometres of highly prospective cobalt ground, hosting three major fault/shear zones over a 5.7 kilometre strike length, with potential for primary cobalt mineralisation.

it is seven kilometres along strike from Battery Mineral Resources’ Island 27 Project, where grades of 4.18% cobalt, 12.1g/t silver, 0.38g/t nickel and 0.098g/t gold were intercepted.

So what is Island 27 (7k up the road)

The Island 27 drill-ready project, located in the north of the Ontario Cobalt belt; immediately south of the gold-rich Larder Lake-Cadillac Fault Zone, part of the Abitibi Gold Greenstone Belt.  BMR, in joint-venture with Golden Valley Mines Ltd. is drill testing extensions. 

A single drill hole intercept returned 4.18% Co, 0.38% Ni and 12.1 g/t Ag over 4m. Because the intercept was not gold, there was no follow-up until BMR joint-ventured the project. BMR continues to advance exploration in this area. 

So how deep is the investment at Island 27? 

BMR has farmed in at a cost of $5m over 4 years at Island 27 . . 

BMR farmed in last year to earn an 80% interest in the Island 27 Prospect, located in Burt, Holmes and Flavelle Townships in the Matachewan area of Northeastern Ontario. In consideration of the grant of the option, Battery will pay to Golden Valley an aggregate of $500,000, of which $100,000 has been paid, $150,000 will be paid on June 1, 2018 and $250,000 will be paid on June 1, 2019.  In addition, Battery is required to incur expenditures on the property in the amount of $5,000,000 over a period of four years ending on June 1, 2021, of which $500,000 is to be spent by June 1, 2018.  Battery is also required to keep the property in good standing by paying all taxes, assessments and other charges and by doing all other acts and things that may be necessary in that regard.

So . . 7 ks up trend from Burt is a zone someone 's happy to plonk $5m bucks into . .  good to know.
