Measuring foetal heart rate is an essential part of normal obstetric care both at antenatal visits and during labour. More so if there is any suggestion there are complications. This device is as accurate as the hospitals equipment. Not a toy. But I do agree the mums will want the novelty as well as the medical use. But it is the medical use that makes this a good idea in my opinion. Mayo wouldn’t be in on this if it was just a novelty.
