    This is not a relevant point for hybrid vehicles.


    It would be an interesting study case of the costs of fully electric including transmission network costs/generation costs etc.. versus hybrid and petrol costs over the life of the vehicle.


    Assuming vehicles have a limited shelf life due to obsolescence from technological and regulatory changes it would be prudent arguably to go hybrid before fully electric.


    For example why waste money on a electric vehicle if the world goes driverless or even under a pool car scenario and the previous EV is superseded and literally obsolete due to compliance issues??
