Diamond coring is definitely the way to go for quality if you're confident on your targeting. Too much core loss in the seam with other coring methods. JORC specifies minimum figures for core-loss beyond which the hole doesn't count. Also anything other than a core hole with quality doesn't really count towards JORC hole spacing, so you don't really bother with chip holes unless you're trying to nail down the structure pre-coring or pre-mining.
