It depends what cycle you are talking about. Apparently the residential construction market in the US is still very much in relatively early recovery phase, whereas it is the opposite in Australia. Like those other companies you have mentioned, BKW is looking to diversify out of the Australian building construction cycle. It is noteworthy that Buffett is starting to spend some of his massive cash pile but is confining his spending to US companies at the moment.
