I’m finding that too - have been taking them and adjusting to multiple pairs and timeframes to test all results (still getting my head around the different backtest settings), however sometimes don’t see an option to tweak - e.g. a MACD trend strategy but I can’t adjust the timeframe of the indicator, assume they are just how each EAs variables are structured I guess.

Only realised today I could backtest paid ones too, so that opens a lot more ‘legitimate’ ones for me to try and I hope to see some
better results.

On an unrelated note - would you be willing to share any of yours? I’d be happy to exchange for some man hours to do some testing or refinement for you, and/or just share notes more generally. No expectations just a suggestion!

PS. we were talking about mt4 vs. mt5 the other week, and for what it’s worth i’ve noticed the market place, including signals, is very light on in mt5 - not surprising as most of the IP resides in mt4 and most probably still trading on that, but really blew me away when I opened mt4 demo account today and played ‘spot the difference’ just thought i’d mention it, maybe a useful observation so some of the readers
