I'm guessing that most here will have read Tim Treadgold in the Weekend Australian on Uranium. Good to see some mainstream coverage, any publicity is good publicity.
I'll take exception to one thing he wrote, he says that lack of interest in VMY is largely due to our assets being, mostly, located in a state that opposes U3O8 mining.
I believe that view is outdated, VMY, as far as I understand it, has declared itself fully permitted at both State and Federal levels., and we've been told by the 'new' WA Government that we can proceed and we have 5 years from approval to make a substantial start on development, that might be be down to ~4 years now, but the approvals are current. Furthermore, we heard that the then incoming government received advice that if it tried to frustrate VMY's approvals it could be opening itself to massive compensation claims.
There may be a few issues within VMY's register, and some doubts about a CR, which we are all aware of, but Government opposition, surely, is on the back burner.
