Also remember - Direct sun wouldn't matter so much as the glass works different to solar panels by the way of directing the UV and IR to PV cells on the edge - so technically the cells are generating energy at a 0 degree pitch to the redirected UV and IR.
Same way in how you can still get sunburned on an overcast day, you don't need to be in a direct path of the sun for UV & IR to do their work.
Pretty genius idea.
