Lynas only survived because the Japanese bankrolled them - fact. Amanda isn’t the fairy godmother. Japan needed a supplier outside China and they got lucky.
They’ve been given a waste storage accumulation extension but where is Lynas going to dump the waste long term? Its getting bigger everday. Lynas has quickly realised 10 years of no tax but how much will it cost to find a solution to their waste? It’ll probably cost more to find a home for the waste than they saved pay no tax instead of just building the plant in Australia. Shot term gain for Lynas will turn into long term pain IMO!
