It is a phase 2 trial. It says so on the announcement. If it was unquestionably proven to work two years ago, they wouldn't be doing the trial. If you read the disclaimers about the trial it will tell you there is no certainty about the outcome being successful.

If you invested in this believing this trial was a given, risk free process they just had to tick, then you were not reading everything the company was telling us.
