As HotCopper are intent on improving the quality of posts on this forum, it has been decided to trial a limit of no more than 20 posts in any one day, which is the total across both Political forums. This should help reduce repetitive content posts.
This is going to be self or forum regulated for the initial trial, so members are asked to click 'report' on one of the posts if the limit is breached.
- No personal insults.
- No broad brush generalised flames, or taunts of extremism.
- Members cannot stoop to act as if they are in parliament.
- Civil debate and banter only will be allowable.
- Content must be "above the line", i.e within reasonable social norms.
Hate speech is illegal, social responsibility is owned by everybody, and there should be empathy for the mental health and well being of others. For this reason, we also ask that labels such as 'leftards, rightards, delcons, nutjobs, halfwits, and the like are not used.
HotCopper membership is diverse and content is read by 10's of 1,000's on a daily basis.
Note that you can reply to more than one post at a time, so if you want to save numbers, please use that feature.
The 20 post limit will include moderated posts.
Please enjoy, and make sure you aim to improve your own post quality as part of these changes.
