To me it seemed Trump was just attempting a last minute push for votes when he made that statement about making a deal with China.
I didn't think it held much weight, at that point in time.
Although now that he has lost the House, I believe he may be more willing to make a deal at the G20 meeting.
Which would be very bullish for markets.
Market seems to have taken it fairly well so probably expect a fair bit of choppy/sideways movement until we get a decision at the end of the month.
