Last night WH very quickly downplayed hopes of an agreement with China being reached anytime soon although many expect something positive in Sino/US relations to emerge out of upcoming G20 (few weeks away). US markets lost ground last night as news filtered through about WH comments.

Hey, @SaraEisen - a deal does not feel imminent. A senior administration official tells me this morning there is still a “long way to go” on negotiations. After G20 at the end of the month is the sweet spot for a deal, timing wise.
