President Trump has been upbeat on the prospects of talks with China. I suspect he’s doing his best to lift the market in the lead-up to the mid-terms. There’s a good chance he’ll revert to form in a couple of weeks when he doesn’t need to play nice anymore.

I don’t like speaking ill of anyone, but In my opinion the President can sometimes be fickle and untrustworthy. He’s liable to reverse position at the drop of a hat and without apparent reason, despite having given firm commitment to follow a particular course of action

Not intending to spark a political debate here. I say these things only because they are relevant to the likely continuation of this embryonic little commodity rally and future direction of market sentiment more broadly
