Nice straw man but alas I never claimed the Dow and PEN moved hand in glove... what I said was that the recent Dow instability can be seen quite clearly in it's effects on the ASX.
This goes especially for stocks that are "parked in neutral" while awaiting news.
Maybe this is more obvious to me since I don't obsess on 1-2 stocks (which I don't even hold) but I watch a variety of companies both in my portfolio and which I'm considering adding - on a daily basis.
Most days you can see an almost predictable ebb and flow in the market based on the time of the day... it's fascinating actually.
