NZ government has just announced $19 million funding for extensive 3D mapping of NZ's regions.
“Detailed 3D elevation mapping is vital to unlocking the economic development of ourregions. It will allow councils to more efficiently planand develop housing, road and water infrastructure, as wellas better prepare for hazards such as flooding, landslidesand erosion,” says LGNZ Vice-President Stuart Crosby.
