One feature of these conglomerates which sets it apart from other conglomerate gold in the news is that they are associated with coal measures and have carbon layers or enrichment in the conglomerate.

Carbon is a known element associated with bringing gold out of solution (I think it has something to do with lowering the oxygen level in the gold bearing fluids - maybe more than just that??) Also of importance is the association of the 'runs' of mineralised conglomerate with the known or suspected faults in the area.

My take is that they have made some important progress on these tenements already and are far ahead in their understanding than the old miners (who took 300,000 oz away - always more, of course to 'keep it quiet') and even the Vendors.

With the faults to look for, and the carbon leaders, then drilling will make a definitive outline of the extent of the deposit.  The bulk samples are of importance to prove those relationships.

The big move into gold, and the strong rerate in AUD gold price will be reflected soon in new strength in gold miners and explorers.
