Early talk was Defector mine was just a stop gap generator of capital to restart the much bigger picture with the .5 million ton Gullewa plant 10ks away that shut down in 2003 after high grade copper in the gold circuit poisoned the cyanide. Still the original mine shaft and 4 pits to work up. They haven't scrached the surface yet. Huge potential now that the metallurgy has been sorted.
