yes the big holders are not even supporting the shares on market when you think it would be in their interest to do so .... if I owned 10% or 20% of this company I would be buying up to a price to increase my own worth.
If I were a big holder of 10% - 20% of this company and didn't have the money to buy the shares on market then I would be marketing my holding to larger company's so that they could swoop for a fast take-over. (lock in sale of your cornerstone holding, let them scour the market for extra bits and pieces, at a time they could launch a t/o, bang the company gets caught with its pants down).
The directors may be under-estimating the larger players ability to swoop!!!
