I agree with some of your comments , however I must differ on the point you make in regards larger SOI and how it relates to a ' Limits ' or decrease in FOMO to the upside. Let me summarize with one sentence. It's all relative - and the explosive power to the upside can be even greater as Investors can take out much larger Parcels at the relative lower prices you often see with larger shares on issue.
There is another more general statement made by many posters that I would like to rebut on. That is the one made famous by a certain mega Billionaire - and that is the great man Wazza himself. I strongly believe the reference to be fearful when others.....etc... was originally intended for use in times of extraordinary ' Crash ' type scenario's and not the day to day trading which surrounds an SP's movement. My view is if you apply the ' Be Greedy end of this in times of ordinary trading scenario's - you most certainly will be carted out on the losing side of the trade when up against these more sophisticated and at times larger investors.
In so far as yesterday's announcement and trading. I agree great volumes , however even still , the SP was well held. The points I would make as to the reason's why Investors are ' sheepish ' - and lets call them my top 5 , would be as follows :-
At number 5. - General overriding markets conditions and sentiment in the small cap mining sector in general.
Number 4. - Announcement seemed almost scrambling to self promote the unexplored areas of It and the nearology aspects instead of more affirmative resource definitions.
Number 3. - Environmental uncertainty surrounding the locations to the ' Creek ' and the Wetland area. This will be harder to justify than is being led to believe and the market knows this.
At Number 2. - The announcement and trading volumes somewhat clarifies to me that they are looking to do a raise.
Top Number 1. - While it takes a lot to move the needle in the Nickel Markets , so to would an announcement favoring towards the Nickel Commodity.
These of course are my opinions and I am still very much supportive of the SP at these current levels. Whatever happens, I intend on having a seat at the table and participating in the ensuing upside. Best of Luck for your trading day.......
