In the first of such two links you will find an article by the Economist magazine that seems to be dealing with (I cannot read the article because I have exceeded my free access allowance) what is commonly known as the income puzzle problem, that is, the reason why the U.S. income balance is positive despite the US having much more liabilities than assets. In the second of such two links you can find a direct answer to your question.
