Hi @neutro - So I’ve been doing some reading and research - after some of your fantastic posts.
Questions below - should you be able to help.
1.) Do you have any links to information that would better explain shale vs magnetite deposits for Vanadium?? And why shale is better for getting higher purity?
2.) You have previously mentioned somewhere about the purity of Vanadium being important for VRFBs - this statement can easily be found - MY question is “ How does a company find out the purity of Vanadium they have?? Is it in a Scoping Study? OR is it a calculation that can be done by the grade of Vanadium a deposite has?? I believe it has to be over 98.4% for Batteries to get the electrolyte needed. Todays price being $29.90 (at time of writing this)??
3.) Any links to how Vanadium is processed? Mainly focusing on how you get the liquid electrolyte that powers a Vanadium redox battery?? And how impurities are removed from it? And why it’s more expensive to remove these impurities from magnetite hosted Vanadium deposits than shale deposits? Any info / links on why shale is better than magnetite? And are shale Vanadium deposits rarer than magnetite?
Why are shale Vanadium deposits better suited for this.
My apologies for putting you on the spot here - I’ve been reading and researching the best I can - but can’t go any further with it. Really hoping you might be able to help. Also over in the AEE threads we have a poster questioning your credibility - which is why I’m asking you away from those as to attract the lease amount of scrutiny.
Really after being able to read links and get supportive evidence. It’s the whole DYOR - I’m trying my best - but falling a bit short. ANY help you could help me with here - would be beyond appreciated.
