Agree; no rocket science is involved, and would be naïve to think tech developers do all the hard work, but forget about how to install them.
But, if one is genuinely concerned about assembly and installation costs, then a highrise construction already involves lots of electrical work, and so I doubt running a few more wires is gonna add much to it (it's not like defining a new project). Also, if we talk about power storage, then again a smart building is probably gonna have those elements anyway, and solar glass can just be integrated to it (again not a new project with a whole set of new costs).
