1.existing permit holders can no longer user their permits to exploit uranium.
2.No NEW permits will be granted from August 1st on to exploit Uranium
3. Environmental Approval is required to exploit the concession minerals - this is the key one for Aura. There's no way to test what limits are acceptable for digging up Uranium as a waste product.”>


My comments:
1. Cases of exploration permits and cases of renewal of exploration permits initiated by the Chief Mining Inspector before August 1st will be subject to older regulations in accordance to the transitional provisions. Thus, the decision will be made by the Swedish Parliment.
2. It will not be possible to grant either an application for an exploration permit or an exploitation concession for uranium if the application has been submitted to the Mining Inspectorate after the 31st of July 2018.
3. The consequences of the Uranium ban are not thought through! Authorization processes for mining permitting will then be legally uncertain, since no limit or target value for the maximum approved uranium exploitation content of the mineral resource has been specified in the legislation and it will then be up to the Government to decide on a case by case basis.
