The significance of this historic relationship is compelling for me, and must assist Angela Merkel's case for supporting companies like KNL who give Germany increased leverage into the non-Chinese Graphite supply/ processing / production chain.

As a trained physicist, she gets the science behind EcoGraf and the quality of the KNL deposit.

As a committed politician at the helm of the world's 4th biggest economy, she needs political wins for her country in the EV space, particularly in the important transport industry in Germany, which leads the world.

As the leader of the dominant nation-state in the EU, she is assisting non-Chinese players who are competing against the far-reaching Chinese 'one-belt' economic policy, which is carving out a globally dominant supply resource to feed the dragon. Graphite and other EV-related commodities will be a key (and increasingly more valuable) resource of the future.
