I've held both as spec stocks for quite a long time. It was not until the Edencrete story started attracting investors that I started the relative value trades. I like the Edencrete story and stay invested in Edencrete through both TAS and EDE. I change the dominance of one over the other on a regular basis. I stay invested at the same level overall. I have recouped my original investment many times over. Tax can be a problem. Last year I had a taxable profit of around $75,000 on EDE trades and a little less on the TAS trades. This year I will actually have a tax loss while actually making a cash surplus due to the dramatic fall in the SP.

Only a couple of times in my investing history have I found this type of trading possible where you can remain invested in the same thing, at the same level and, without any risk of being "out" at a critical time, make profitable trades. The last one was where 2 oil companies had interests in the same oil field and their relative values varied on a daily basis.
