stevo, I don't know where you are getting your research from, but there are closer to 3 million EVs on the road. And demand is so high they're having trouble keeping up with battery demand. And there's no problem with electricity supply going forward, given most EVs can top up with roof solar, which is growing exponentially, worldwide - as are renewables. Sure, the combustion engine will be around for a while, but already a string of countries have committed to ban their sale in the near-ish future, and major car manufacturer's, like VW, Volvo and Mazda are fazing out ICEs entirely by 2030. As of last week, every major car manufacturer is producing EVs, and there are circa 200/300 start-ups. Oh, and car batteries are evolving. Some EVs already have a range of between 600 to 1,000 km.
Its understandable that you and others are so behind on the progress of this tech, because its moving at lightening speed.
