Yes, Magnis has a 10% stake in C4V, but Magnis also has a direct and indirect ownership of IM3NY totalling approx 44%.
Although these batteries have been developed by C4V, it will be IM3 that will be delivering the commercial production (and sale) of these batteries.
I personally am very skeptical of large volume commercial production of these semi-solid-state batteries in mid 2019. I could believe low scale production for Dendrobium D1, but as far as cost efficiency and applying economies of scale, these batteries are still a few years off IMO.
It's still a great achievement and having these gen3 batteries used in a commercial product will be a great proof of concept and verify the chemistry and performance.
I would love to be proven wrong but IMO it's the Gen1 and gen2 batteries that would have the offtake agreements signed and will be easier to implement volume production
