I didn't say there isn't disagreement between Trump and the democrats, there are disagreements over tactics and timing but not over basic strategy.

There is basic and fundamental agreement between all US politicians and parties that the US must use it's residual military superiority to overcome their relative economic and industrial decline. ie sooner or later the US must militarily confront Russia and China (or even Europe). Trump see's China as the immediate threat, the democrats want to confront Russia first.

Some democrats and some republicans think Trump is simply too unreliable to lead the US in a war against anyone, hence the moves against him. But all the above does not mean Trump is less inclined to lead the US into more disastrous wars. He's just as warlike and dangerous as all the previous presidents.
