Solid state is actually Gen3 with c4v expecting delivery (volume manufacturing) by 2025. Gen1 expected to commence first half 2019 and Gen2 by 2021. Shows how much work and planning goes into it all. Years of research, testing and development. Though just because they state 2025 for solid state doesn't mean that can't be brought forward. Even on the c4v website they state that so far they have replaced around 50% of the liquid electrolyte whereas this announcement states more than 80% replaced. That to me seems pretty significant. Also the forward planning of development using existing manufacturing and supply chain should make the implementation much more simple, efficient and cost effective...in theory
