I still abit of a novice, but didn’t I get one vote per shareholder when it came to the merger of TTS with TAH?
So how many votes did the superfunds get and nominees companies get each!
If I’m correct about one vote per shareholder for mergers and demergers it sets a precedent that should be allowable for voting on the remuneration package. That is the biggest grip amongst the majority of shareholders and takes up a great deal of time at AGM's.
Why the reluctance to make a change in the legislation to accommodate a one vote concept just for the remuneration package. I not talking about the 'show of hands' concept where you need to be in attendance.
To me I see a number of aspects that verge on conflict of interest. Even the so called safe guards are questionable!
The 'Two Strike' should’ve been based on 25% of voters which I’m positive would improve that participating rate once it became public.
