I understand what you're getting at, but the Nebo Babel project appears to have been around for nearly 20 years and WMC/BHP did not appear keen to progress it at all before selling it to the company in 2014. And the company really seems to have done a lot of excellent work on it. There seems a lot to like about the WMG project and what's happening with it now.
But 18 years is a lot of time for seems to be a quality project to not have progressed much at all. I just want to find out if there are reasons for this that I have missed out, especially since my technical knowledge is severely limited. For one, it seems still as geographically remote as ever?

The nickel shortage allied to EV batteries was not foreseen in 2014.
Since then BHP themselves have committed to spending more money on the Kwinana Nickel Refinery.
(Sorry to hear about their fire in the(ir) Kalgoorlie Nickel smelter today).
