I'll add to that. I have worked in the mining industry departments in both NT and Victoria, and there is a huge difference. If Nick Mather went to Darwin he would be treated like a prince and given a red carpet and a brass band. They are falling over themselves for mining developments and would do almost anything to assist. On the other hand , in Victoria they would not give the time of day to old hacks like Plimer and Annells. Mining is just not a priority and even then they will only really deal with the big boys.
