Hi Ghosta
Interesting post. While you might hope you are sitting on "some of the most valuable ground in the world", reality is that at present it is not. Recent trades of prospective land are proof of that. While its becoming apparent there are a number of areas in or near conglomerate that contain gold which might be economic, it will take years to determine whether or not it is.
Point taken. I still have to disagree. Just because others who have no cash to explore and a dead shareholder base does not mean that the three sisters I have mentioned are in the same boat. The ground is just as mineral rich today, tomorrow and for the last million years as it ever was. The big boys know this and they understand how potentially valuable it may be. Sure you gotta have cash to explore, but there are more creative ways to accomplish the exploration than to just sell the entire company for the first half assed quality bid.
If shareholders or management do not have the patience or creativity to see these projects through, then why are they in the Junior resource sector to begin with? This is a highly speculative and risky space to be an investor and not for the average risk averse folks. You're a smart guy. I read your posts. I know you understand this. This will take time and money to explore and prove up a deposit resource. My point is that the three I have mentioned, imho have the staying power to hang in there for much longer and for much much more than others who have taken less.
You mentioned DEG. It would be foolish for them to sell knowing that they have much more than just prospective conglomerate gold. They have an enormous amount of exploration to do before anyone in their right mind would even consider a TO offer. Simply ludicrous. Any of the Majors would want a much larger defined resource than what they have at present and that will require a year or two of continued drilling. Plenty of time for folks to trade in and out of the stock if all they want is a few pips here and there.
I may be a dreamer in your estimation, I prefer optimist. I'm fully aware of the snares and pitfalls that are a part of investing in this space and have the patience and understanding to see it through. My point is that, imho, it would be a mistake for any one of the three to take the first offer to come knocking. It's just way too early to sell short and cheap, when they all could do so much better.
Most respectfully. Josey
