I’ve always wanted to ask a trader, is it easy come/ easy go?

I treat the companies that I invest in, like it was my business.
Ups and downs come along, happy with the potential, understand that the green arrow doesn’t go in one direction but happy to take the punt that my hunch, is relatively sound.
Of course, I always reserve my rights to get cold feet but the lure of “Lording it over every BBQ mob I meet”, can only come about with a positive long term commitment to a select few stocks.

Regardless of the amount, I made $50-100-760k is always “ trumped” by, I pulled off a 20-30-50 bagger?

I met a bloke at a B-party my 5yr old went too who had invested $187.50 in Bitcoin just after it floated, he said he had offloaded $37.50’s worth around the 5 mark but still had the rest.

    That’s a show stopper!!!!!$&@&’n

I’ve caught up with him a few times over the last couple of years and he still holds his $150’s worth.

Another bloke I know ( he’s as rough as a robbers dog) up in the NT had z bit of cash and a positive attitude and turned a 1995 $1.5m into, something like $10m plus in a decade, he also invested in a company on the advice of a bloke who worked for the company, subcontractor I think, hung onto the shares for approximately 4 years because “ the bloke seemed legit “?

Who does that?, how can it be possible to put a house deposit on a tip from a bloke in a pub?, this friend didn’t have cash problems and told me he could of bought 3-4 houses in Darwin for the same amount/same time as this tip, caught his eye
Over $20m and he didn’t even buy himself a new singlet, stubbies shorts or even a flash pair of thongs!!!! for goodness sake

It takes all sorts for this game to work, correct or incorrect can be measured in seconds or decades and one’s trading style must suit one’s personality.

If you thrive on the buzz of a percentage v’s days held, rinse and repeat and play the market, “ like a cheap fiddle “?
Ya ain’t gonna be happy with 4 years of dead money.
If ya are a “ true, mad punter”, fearless and with a devil may care attitude the glory of the BBQ scene, awaits

There is no golden rule other than what that famous sports bloke said!
“ Its funny, the more I practice the luckier I get”!

Good luck to you and all the others and may you all make a decent dollar.
