Those were spectra based on a 2 micron wide focussed beam and the SEM machine they used couldn’t measure oxygen, the principal component of all rocks, so the percentage weightings of the precious metals was not absolute, practically meaningless unless you know the percentage of oxygen in the area being interigated by the electron beam and even still not an assay technique by any means.
What they need to use is a JEOL 8530F microprobe. I told them why this is useful to them and where they can find one here.
