As at end of day 09-Apr-2008 7,260,887 ABS shares were loaned for short selling! Need I say any more.
Notice that the big sell off happened after the media article and not after the announcement. That just goes to show that the media and the shorters are in on it together!
Today was a great buying opportunity as the MS deal is about to go through. I'd say at least half the shorts will still need to be closed which will add to the buyers.
