Read a book years back by a guy who spent a fair bit of time in Haiti, back in the days of Papa Doc and the Ton Ton Macoute. I think Voodoo is real. He sneakily witnessed some ceremonies where rotting corpses would rise, etc.Well, so he wrote.
Had a work colleague, had a beautiful wife (French) from Mauritius, who became possessed from playing with ouija boards. A demon was exorcised.
Then, locally, some guys shot some cattle on a local statation. They were found with a cigarette in an ear, and/or an empty beer can in the mouth. They had each been gut shot, and left to die like that. The guys who did that were sick beyond belief. Think of what they would do to a human, given half a chance. Evil.

And some possessed by evil just happen to have pretty faces, yummy sensuous bodies, and marry guys.

I’ll go along with that especially the voodoo stuff. Very real very dangerous- same with the kadaicha man. Bit of quartz and an eagle claw will keep the locals at bay if I recall corrrctly
