Yes Osi.. given how Iran is still pushing, Russia is finding itself in a tricky situation that is going to have to see it either pull out (unlikely given strategic Syrian base) or create some new enemies. History would suggest they will be batting for Iran and China.
As you say about that other nutter... it is anyone's guess as to where he will end up... but that is a characteristic of a narcissistic psychopath: whatever suits them on the day in question.
