Last time I was in Shenzhen, the taxis I travelled in were all electric BYD E6s According to the driver, they cost approximately $42K and and as with most things from the Middle Kingdom, they were totally uninspiring. I’m being polite here.

If any of these Chinese companies can manage to build an attractive car to the QC standards of the Germans then Tesla is dead in the water. It’s a big IF, quality and attention to detail is not their manufacturing strong suit (yet). You could well be right about the early demise of Tesla.
