Forgot to add that I have had one very bad call in the last few years - Dicks Smith - and it has made me quite gun shy with retailers. I managed to get out at a 50% loss when it became apparent the books were dodgy but ever since I really do no trust the inventory valuations on any retailers books (think physically checking out stores rather than accounts) and paying extra attention to debt (esp rollover dates) for all companies, e.g. HTA
