The bit that worries me and probably everyone else is that Erdogan is still a NATO member. If Erdogan does something silly I don't think Putin and the team can just start attacking his assets without creating a huge escalation with the west. I'm sure Putin is well aware of all the possibilities. He's no fool despite what some like to say. Negotiations have to be exhausted first.
